Keystone Vise - Quick Slide, Fine Control & Swap-in Jaws

QUICK SLIDE. FINE CONTROL. A compact hobby vise combining a positive two-tooth lift key with a short M6 fine-adjustment screw. Lift the key, slide close to the workpiece, lower both teeth into the rack and finish with the knob.

FEATURES • 8 printed pieces in the standard flat-pad build. • Two purchased items: one M6 x 25 mm hex-head bolt and one standard M6 hex nut. • 40 mm soft jaws; nominal opening 0–78 mm. • Replaceable flat and V-shaped TPU pads. • Print-oriented STL files and two guide fit coupons. • Editable Fusion and STEP files. • A 13-page pictorial English assembly guide: black line drawings, one action per step, arrows, part quantities and enlarged joint details.

PRINTING PETG for rigid parts; TPU 95A for pads. Initial trial settings: 0.4 mm nozzle, 0.20 mm layers, 4 walls (5 for the lift key), 30% infill. Minimum strength settings are not established. The STL files are oriented and grounded. No external supports are designed in; inspect short bridges at the bores and nut pocket in your slicer. A brim may help the carriage and female-guide coupon.

PRINT QUANTITIES Print B01, B02, B03, B04, B05 and B08 once each, plus TWO P06 flat pads. Alternatively, use TWO P07 V pads. T91 and T92 are fit coupons, not assembly parts. Markings 01–08 correspond to the file IDs.

ASSEMBLY AND USE Follow the pictorial PDF. Print the guide coupons first and check the nut, bolt head and pegs against your hardware. Loosen the screw before lifting the key. Both teeth must seat completely before tightening. Retract the pressure jaw manually when loosening. Two optional M4 / 4 mm bench-fixing holes are provided. Choose fixing lengths and anchors for your work surface; bench fixings are not included.

PROTOTYPE STATUS Digitally checked prototype, not physically printed or load-tested. Thirty-two sampled CAD motion states passed rigid interference checks, excluding intentional peg fits. Clamp force, fit, durability and base stability require real tests. No measured print time or load rating is claimed. Images are CAD renders and drawings, not photographs of a print.
