Just One! Single Pill Dispenser
por Ralf S. en Thingiverse
This is the final version of my pill dispenser. It was created because the pill container is not user friendly - the opening is too small to get single pills out with a finger and if you flip it, you have the whole stuff in your palm. But I only want just one! So I tried how to solve that problem...

Sobre este modelo
This is the final version of my pill dispenser. It was created because the pill container is not user friendly - the opening is too small to get single pills out with a finger and if you flip it, you have the whole stuff in your palm. But I only want just one! So I tried how to solve that problem. Have a look on the last picture, it shows the long way... Designed for small pills in the dimension of about 5,6x14,5mm - I never tried to fit other pills by scaling up. All parts are 3D printed, except the spring that moves the plunger backwards, that was taken from an old ballpen. Print the parts in PLA, 0,2mm layer hight, 0,4mm nozzle (or better), 15% infill. For the screws use higher infill, and for a better fit,I scaled them down for about 2% inX + Y direction. Assembly as shown in the pictures, you can adjust the closed angle of the "moving part" a little bit, by cut or file down a bit the second lowest tooth on the plunger. By moving the top cover you also can do small adjustments, the mount hols are relatively wide. I had to disassemble some ballpens to get the right spring, but it is still a little bit weak. Tighten the center screw only that much everything is still moving smoothly. Sometimes the pills can jam, then gently shake or flip over the whole thing and try again. The GIF shows it really good. This design is not perfect in every detail, I know, but I think for me it is good enough, so don´t wait for a 2nd. version to be published. Use at own risk, PLA is not confirmed as harmful, but keep in mind, that your medicine will get in contact with that, also small amounts of PLA could waer off and maybe are incorporated to you. Feel free to remix, do your own improovements, change this design. And show us your make of it! Note* - The pictures show an early version of the thing, minor refinements have been changed, mostly cosmetic. So I saved the filament and not printed again to show smoothed edges or so. - The other versions, which are non functional, are not provided in the STLs. of course. You want them anyway? Leave me a message!
