Sobre este modelo

INTERMISSION is a miniature cinema-seat phone stand with a manually folding seat. It holds a phone in portrait or landscape orientation. The ivory frame and burgundy inserts are separate printed parts, so the two-color result can be made with a single-color printer.

The seat opens onto two fixed supports. Two front tabs keep the phone from sliding forward, and a central opening provides space for a charging cable. The backrest has three recessed vertical grooves. Fold the seat by hand when the phone is removed; there is no spring or automatic closing mechanism.

Dimensions at 100% scale - Assembled: approximately 112 x 104 x 150.9 mm. - Cable opening: approximately 14 x 24 mm. Phone and case dimensions, connector size and cable bend clearance affect compatibility. The photos show the physical prototype holding a phone in both orientations; universal phone compatibility is not claimed.

Included files - One 3MF project with two separate color plates. - Four STL files: frame, backrest, seat and hinge pin. - Print one frame, one backrest, one seat and two pins: five printed pieces total. - Printing and assembly instructions. No experimental parts or fit-test coupons are included.

Plate 1: ivory frame and two pins. Plate 2: burgundy backrest and seat. The 3MF includes starting settings for Bambu Lab X2D with a 0.4 mm nozzle and PLA. It is not pre-sliced G-code. Select and verify your printer, filament and supports before printing. Other slicers may handle plate assignments and settings differently; the STL files are provided separately. Import the 3MF OR the STLs, not both.

Suggested printing settings - PLA, 0.4 mm nozzle, 0.20 mm layers. - 4 walls and 5 top/bottom layers. - 20% infill for main parts; 100% for pins. - 100% scale. - Supports are needed for the seat underside; inspect the frame's overhangs and support them as required. These are starting recommendations, not a record of the photographed print's exact slicer settings. Print time and filament consumption depend on your slicing settings.

Assembly and use Remove supports and loose filament, then dry-fit the backrest onto the frame's guides. Place the seat on its open-position supports, align the hinge holes and insert one pin from each side. Do not force tight joints or glue the moving hinge. The backrest is not a locking snap fit; if needed, secure this fixed joint with thin double-sided tape or a small amount of PLA-compatible adhesive after checking the fit.

Use the stand on a level surface with the seat fully open and resting on both supports. Remove the phone before folding the seat. Check pin retention and stability with your own phone and case.

Physical prototype The maker confirms that the pictured version was printed at 100% scale from these final files, and that the seat movement, pin fit and balance with the phone worked without issues. Long-term wear and load limits have not been quantified.

Gallery note Styled gallery images use AI-assisted background and lighting edits based on the physical prototype photographs. Unedited prototype photographs are also supplied in the package.
