IKEA SKÅDIS Metal Hook Retainer

Keep your IKEA SKÅDIS metal hooks securely in place! Some IKEA SKÅDIS metal hooks fit rather loosely in the pegboard and can accidentally come out when removing items. This simple 3D-printed retainer holds the metal hooks firmly against the pegboard, preventing them from being pulled out unintentionally. The retainer is compatible with all three currently available IKEA SKÅDIS metal hook designs. Features - Compatible with all three IKEA SKÅDIS metal hook designs.

- Easily attaches directly to the SKÅDIS pegboard using two integrated mounting hooks.

- No screws, glue, or additional hardware required.

- The mounting hooks are only 2 mm wide, while the SKÅDIS slots are 5 mm wide. This allows retainers to be installed side by side, even on adjacent metal hooks.

- One printed retainer is required for each metal hook.

Print Recommendations (FDM): - Nozzle: 0.4mm

- Profile: 0.2mm STRUCTURAL (PrusaSlicer)

- Infill: 15% Cubic

- Support: None

- Material: PETG (recommended) or PLA

Both PETG and PLA have been successfully tested. PETG is recommended because it is less brittle and provides some extra tolerance if the thin mounting hooks are accidentally bent during installation.

The model is already oriented for printing. Just slice and print!
