This is a modification to a design I downloaded from Arduino project hub created by user nfarrier. The original design used a white light led and a photoresistor. I uploaded the design into tinkercad and expanded the holes to accept a 5mm ir emitter and receiver led on each side. Then I dipped a face rag into ice cold water and dabbed my forehead after all the hard work. The emitter uses 3.3v from the arduino an has a 220k Ohm resistor on the positive rail.
