Sobre este modelo

When I became interested in the honeycomb storage wall, I thought that the hooks that I had designed for the IKEA Skådis board could be used on the honeycomb wall as well, so with some redesigning of the hooks and a customised inserts, I came up with these models. Here is a whole set of hooks in different shapes and sizes. There are so many different ways in which a hook can be used and I hope you will find some that are to your liking. Approximate sizes of the different hooks are shown in the table below, all hooks are 7mm (0.3") wide. HooknameXSSMLXL Hook9mm (0.4")15mm (0.6")21mm (0.8")27mm (1.1")33mm (1.3") U-hook8mm (0.3")14mm (0.6")20mm (0.8")26mm (1.0")32mm (1.3") Pin10mm (0.4")15mm (0.6")20mm (0.8")25mm (1.0")30mm (1.2") Slant13mm (0.5")18mm (0.7")23mm (0.9")28mm (1.1")33mm (1.3") Flat13mm (0.5")18mm (0.7")23mm (0.9")28mm (1.1")33mm (1.3") Stright25mm (1")35mm (1.4")45mm (1.8")55mm (2.2")65mm (2.6") Rhino 19mm (0.7")26mm (1")

Installation The hooks are mounted on the honeycomb wall using a customised insert, the hooks are screwed to the insert with an M3 screw. This provides a strong and secure attachment, the hooks are easily interchangeable as they are screwed into the same insert which can then be left in place. Some of the hooks require a support for the lower part of the hook, so I have made a separate insert that fits into the hexagon underneath. I have made two different versions of the insert to which the hooks are to be fitted. One threaded for an M3 screw and the other for an M3 nut. I personally prefer the threaded insert. There are also two different versions of the hooks, one with countersunk holes and the other with flat holes, which one to use depends on the type of screw you use. The screws that fit should be about 10 mm long.

Printing and print settings In the model files, the parts are orientated in the direction best suited for printing. Print the hooks lying on their sides and the inserts flat on the front for best results. For the hooks use e.g. PLA for printing with a layer height of 0.2mm and a nozzle width of 0.4mm or less. A wall thickness of at least 3 lines and an infill of 50% or 100% if you prefer a solid hook. A support structure for the screw hole is recommended. The insert with the M3 thread must be printed with a layer height of 0.12mm in order for the thread to be usable. The other two inserts can be printed with a layer height of 0.2mm. Other settings can be: PLA for printing with a nozzle width of 0.4 mm or less. A wall thickness of at least 3 lines and a fill of 25%. A support structure is recommended.
