Sobre este modelo

This is a robust 80 × 70 mm Print-in-Place (PIP) hinge designed for functional 3D printed projects where a larger and stronger hinge is needed. The complete hinge, including the Ø6 mm pin, is printed as a single part. No separate hinge pin or post-print assembly is required. The hinge uses five alternating barrel sections along its 80 mm length to distribute the load. The outer hinge barrel diameter is Ø12 mm, while rounded transitions between the hinge barrel and the 5 mm thick leaves help reduce stress concentration at the joint. Four Ø4.5 mm mounting holes are positioned symmetrically with a 46 × 56 mm hole spacing. Each mounting hole has a 1 × 45° chamfer for a clean edge and easier screw installation. A fully dimensioned drawing is included in the gallery, so you can check the dimensions and mounting-hole positions before printing. Main Dimensions Overall open size: 80 × 70 mm Hinge leaf thickness: 5 mm Integrated pin diameter: Ø6 mm Outer hinge barrel diameter: Ø12 mm Hinge barrel radius: R6 mm Leaf-to-barrel transition: R3 mm Hinge sections: 5 Mounting holes: 4 × Ø4.5 mm Mounting hole spacing: 46 × 56 mm Hole chamfer: 1 × 45° Design: Print-in-Place Features Heavy-duty construction Fully Print-in-Place design Integrated Ø6 mm hinge pin No separate pin required No assembly required Five alternating hinge sections 5 mm thick hinge leaves Ø12 mm robust hinge barrel Four mounting points Rounded R3 transitions around the hinge barrel Chamfered mounting holes Symmetrical mounting-hole layout Designed for functional 3D printing No supports required The hinge is designed to be printed flat and fully assembled in one piece. PETG or other suitable materials can also be used depending on the required mechanical and temperature resistance. After Printing Allow the part to cool before removing it from the build plate. Carefully start moving the two hinge leaves back and forth. Do not force the hinge to its maximum angle immediately. Gradually work the joint until all five sections move freely. Print-in-Place clearances can vary slightly depending on printer calibration, material, extrusion settings and dimensional accuracy.
