Sobre este modelo

THIS PROJECT IS IN OPEN BETA AND THIS REPOSITORY IS INCOMPLETE - SEND YOUR SUGGESTIONS FOR HARDWARE (e.g. hotends, fan types, leveling probes) TO THIS E-MAIL: [email protected] THE BOM AND BUILD GUIDE ARE IN THE WORKS.

This is a toolhead system designed around the Slimstruder. The Slimstruder was designed to be as slim, light and easy to maintain as possible. This system does away with the unnecessary shrouds and screws, focusing instead on being able to remove the entire toolhead by undoing 2 screws. Since this project is still in its infancy, there is currently no build guide (However a full assembly of the Dragon and Rapido variants with all fasteners and inserts are available) and only a limited amount of supported hardware, a list of which you can find further down below. You are welcome to send in your suggestions, however I may not be able to support all of them. The ones that are work in progress will be added ASAP. There are currently no supported probes, the 2 mounting points in the front are designated probe attachment points. The BIQU Microprobe and Beacon will be supported 100%. I am currently working on finding a way to supply the main ring gear, as it is a fully custom part. It is currently self-source. It should be manufactured either with wire EDM or laser cut. The material should be at minimum stainless steel. The specifics will be in the build guide, however JLC CNC, though expensive, provided me with a wonderful part, #notsponsored. The planet gears are printable on an FDM printer, however a layer height of 0.1mm and a nozzle of 0.25mm or smaller are required to get any sort of precision. More on print settings in the specs and settings section.

Slimstruder tips and print settings: Do not use PLA under any circumstances. On open frame printers PETG should do just fine, for enclosed printers ASA/ABS is a must. Lithium grease is recommended to lubricate the gears, just put a pea sized dollop on the teeth. For added longevity it is also recommended to put a very thin layer of lithium grease on the flat sides of the ring gear. Use the recommended settings for maximum performance.
