Sobre este modelo

GIGGA SCRATCHA™ PET: bring on the belly rubs. The original Gigga Scratcha was built for humans. Then the dog found out, and it has been a hostage situation ever since. So here is the pet edition: a one-piece, 295 mm scratcher with 30 rounded massage nubs instead of teeth, made for bellies, backs, chests and that one spot that makes a back leg start kicking on its own. Frank, our 40 kg Head of Quality Control, tested it thoroughly. He rolled over, went cross-eyed, and then tried to eat it. Approved. Why the Pet version? - 30 rounded nubs, 9 mm at the base with 6 mm domed tips. They scratch and massage without digging in.

- Contoured head. The nubs are shorter in the middle (10 mm) and taller at the edges (16 mm), so the head cradles a round belly or a back instead of rocking on it.

- Wide 110 mm head. A lot of dog covered per stroke.

- 295 mm long. Long enough to reach the dog without leaving the couch. You're welcome.

- One piece. No assembly, no glue, no supports.

- Chunky 14 mm handle with rounded edges and a hanging hole, so it lives on a hook instead of under the couch.

Printing it - Settings: 0.2 mm layers, 4 perimeters, 20% gyroid infill. No supports, no brim.

- Orientation: flat on its back with the nubs pointing up.

- Bed size: at full size it lies corner to corner on a 256 × 256 mm bed, and fits an XL with room to spare.

- Smaller bed or smaller pet? Scale it down in the slicer. About 90% fits a 250 × 210 mm bed (MK4, MK3, Core One) on the diagonal. About 68% fits a 180 mm bed (MINI, A1 mini) and makes a tidy size for cats and small dogs. The nubs shrink with it, which suits the little ones.

- Files: the STL for any slicer, plus a ready-to-go Bambu Studio project (PLA, P2S). It slices to about 3.2 hours and 103 g.

PLA or PETG? - PLA: easy to print, looks sharp, perfectly happy with indoor belly-rub duty.

- PETG: for the big units, the outdoor dogs and the horse. It flexes instead of snapping when a large animal leans into it.

Before the first scratch - Run your thumb over the nub tips. If there's a stringy bit or a sharp zit, snip it or sand it off. If it feels good on your forearm, it'll feel good on the dog.

- It's a scratcher, not a chew toy. Don't leave it with anything that eats furniture for a living.

- Let the animal set the pressure, and steer clear of sore spots, rashes and wounds.

Got an itch of your own? The Pet has a big brother. The original GIGGA SCRATCHA is a 500 mm, dual-grip, unapologetically overengineered back scratcher for humans. Print both and nobody in the house has to share. Print one for the dog. Print one for the cat that pretends not to care. Print one for the horse. Print one for whoever in your household keeps rubbing themselves against door frames. Help the Gigga grow 💪 Post a Make. I want to see your colours and, more importantly, your pet's review face. Leave a like if it earned its place. It fuels more wildly overengineered solutions to everyday problems. Scratch responsibly. 😎
