Ghostbound – The Hollow Lantern 👻🐉
Some dragons guard treasure. This one carries a little spirit.
Ghostbound, the skull-headed dragon with a ghostly passenger lighting up its back. With curved horns, tattered wings and a softly glowing ghost, this duo brings a little spooky charm to your Halloween decorations.
The ghost becomes a lantern with an LED tealight placed underneath it on the dragon’s back - a simple way to bring the pair to life after dark! 🎃 Two print profiles are available:
- AMS version: The multicolour version requires only two colours at the same time. The white parts are placed on a separate build plate and can be printed without an AMS.
- Non-AMS version: Uses only black and white, with the parts split across two build plates. No AMS or manual colour changes are needed.
Assembly after printing:
1. Carefully remove the supports. 2. Fit the horns onto the dragon’s skull, then secure the horns and skull spikes with a little glue. 3. Insert the wings into the body. 4. Switch on your LED tealight and place it on the dragon’s back. 5. Attach the head firmly to the neck. It hooks in at the top and can also be glued in place if needed. 5. Place the ghost over the tealight - your Hollow Lantern is ready!
You’ll need: an LED tealight and a small amount of glue.
Ghostbound is my entry for the Halloween contest. If you enjoy this spooky little duo, a like, a boost or a photo of your print would mean a lot. I’d love to see your versions!
Happy printing, and Happy Halloween! 👻
