Sobre este modelo
Winter is coming, so print your scraper before the first frost. Frostbite prints flat with the blade edge on the build plate. That gives you a dead-straight, crisp scraping edge with no sanding and no supports.
Features - 1.6 mm blade edge with a shallow top bevel, so the blade slides under the frost and doesn't skip. - Ice-breaker teeth on the blade shoulders (standard and XL) or the back edge (pocket) for crunching thick ice before you scrape. - Ergonomic flared neck, thumb dish to press the blade down, raised grip pad with grooves you can still feel through gloves. - Hanging hole for a hook or lanyard. - Rounded corners and a 0.5 mm bottom chamfer: nothing sharp except the blade.
Sizes (separate STLs) - frostbite_scraper_pocket.stl: Card size, fits a wallet or door pocket, 86 x 58 x 4.2 mm - frostbite_scraper_standard.stl: Glovebox scraper, 110 mm blade, 110 x 170 x 9 mm (A1 mini OK) - frostbite_scraper_xl.stl: 135 mm blade for SUVs and vans, 135 x 205 x 9 mm (needs a 256 mm bed)
Parametric: ice_scraper.py (CadQuery) lets you change blade width, length, neck, thicknesses, bevel length, teeth and hole.
Print settings - Orientation: as supplied, flat. Supports: none. - Layer height 0.2 mm (0.16 mm for an even cleaner bevel), 4 walls, 25–40% infill. Higher infill makes it stiffer. - PETG or ASA recommended: they stay tough in freezing weather. PLA works, but it gets brittle in hard frost and can warp if you leave it on a sunny dashboard. - Estimated at 15% infill (not sliced): pocket ~14 g / ~30–45 min, standard ~27 g / ~1–1.5 h, XL ~36 g / ~1.2–1.8 h. 30% infill adds roughly 15–25%.
Use: Glass only. Don't use it on tinted film, mirror coatings or paintwork. Keep the blade clean, because grit trapped under it can scratch.
