Framework 12 - Vintage Radio Case — modelo 3D

Sobre este modelo

A 1960's Vintage Radio Case This case turns your Framework Laptop 12 mainboard into a vintage (not yet working - see todo) radio. This was made specifically for the September 2026 Framework competition on Printables. Please note: I do not own a Framework 12 motherboard. The design is based on the official STEP files from the Framework team. The print files should work, but I have not been able to test whether they are compatible with a genuine Framework 12 motherboard. In particular, I have not been able to test whether the on/off switch works correctly. Please also note: The .3mf files in this version were exported directly from FreeCAD and are not correctly oriented for printing. All parts of the vintage radio case are designed so that they can be printed without a support structure. It should be possible to print all parts using PLA, PETG or another material. The feet should be printed using TPU for a better grip. I will change the licence after the contest ends. Hardware Requirements: - 4x M3x50 socket head cap screw ISO14579

- 4x M3x5,7 brass insert (for example by Ruthex)

- 1x M3x12 socket head cap screw ISO14579

for the handle: - 2x 2.8x9 self tapping screws

Todo and ideas: - integrate some small speaker for internet radio.

- replace the non-functional frequency selector with a round 2-inch touch screen.

- maybe integrate a small 7-inch screen on the backside.

Updates / Changelog 30.09.2026 - Added a handle - for the handle a new version of the frame is needed. All files for the handle could be found in the "handle" folder.
