Sobre este modelo
Flock Helmet - or How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love ALPRs: Fun ideas: Get your buddies a helmet and stand on street corners calmly waiving at cars. Hold a broom-stick with a 'solar panel' on it, maybe throw on a darth vader cloak. Add a sign on the solar panel that says "Don't Worry" or "You're Safe" and anoint passing traffic. Built-in feature: the FOV is small enough that you need to turn your head to track objects of interest. This 3d print clips onto a hardhat harness you can purchase on Aliexpress. Happy to update the model over the next few weeks, but NOTE that you'll want to order the hat harness ASAP if you want to get it in time for Halloween. There's a spot for an LED ring but you'll need to slap an Arduino in there (I'm planning to mount one on the back of the helmet) Share the link to this post - I want to see this turn up on the local news, wherever you are! Buy this stuff - Get the harness that has the "D" clip:- LINK1 - LINK2 - LINK3 - if you find one that ships faster to NA, please share the link.
- LED ring (or you can print a circle to plug the hole) LINK - Hide your eyes with one-way tinted film [LINK]
Features: - Hard hat mounting brackets (you can swap them out for your own) - Optional 12mm magnet mounting holes for face plate - Optional front inserts can be printed with PETG for a different finish
Things I will probably do - Arduino mount - Arduino sketch: make the LEDs red. Wire up an IMU and/or mic so the ring does a "camera flash" after you move your head or speak - Add 3d models for the solar panel mount etc - Ride a Nazgûl whilst wearing it, or demand to see Gordon Freeman - Print out deflock info leaflets and be a good citizen
Shoutout To huudl for the initial harness bracket idea.
