Sobre este modelo

Mintion V1 adapter for Flashforge 5M Pro. I made this to attempt to better connect the Mintion filtration system to the 5MP. It attaches over the small exhaust grill on the bottom left hand side of the back using three screws into existing holes (you may need to get slightly longer versions of the larger ones, stock aren't long enough). I made it this way as I didn't like the idea of replacing the back cover entirely or modifying the printer. The whole back of the 5M Pro seems connected to the chamber, it doesn't appear at all airtight. The small exhaust fan is also only used for PLA/PETG, not ASA/ABS etc. that are the problem, however there is loads of space around between the back plate and the exhaust fan anyway. I partly resolve this by putting tape over the adjustment holes and a sheet of paper (it doesn't appear to get hot!) over the grill so the main router out of the back is via the exhaust suction. Effectiveness-wise... I've had a air quality meter beside the printer and that doesn't change - however I've also smelled some ASA - so it's not perfect and comes with no guarantees. The 5MP is leaky and I suspect it also comes out of other areas anyway, but a little suction from the Mintion seems to help keep the fumes under control. Potential improvements would include putting a little bit of seal around the interface to the back panel. It's an easy print with no supports. I use 50% infill as I like it to feel a little more solid. Enjoy!
