Design Concept: This project reimagines daily transactions with a touch of wizardry. I designed a fantasy magic wand textured like ancient twisted wood with green leaf accents. The head is custom-dimensioned to hold a contactless payment chip. Sliced at 0.20mm and printed support-free in PLA, the wand works seamlessly at POS terminals, making checkout feel like casting a spell.
Uses Ideal: - Tap-to-Pay contactless shopping wand for holding credit or debit cards. - Cosplay prop and costume accessory for fantasy wizard staff fans. - Unique tabletop display piece for fantasy, gaming desk setup. - Gift idea for 3D printing EDC enthusiasts.
Printing Tips: I printed this model in standard PLA at 215C nozzle and 60C bed temperature on a textured PEI build plate. The geometry printed cleanly without any support material needed, thanks to the self-supporting overhang angles. I recommend printing at 0.20mm layer height with 3 wall perimeters for strong layer bonding along vertical stress points, and adding an outer brim for bed stability. My test print finished smoothly in about 6h 32m using 15% - 20% Gyroid.
