If your Eibos Easdry does not have a potentiometer to regulate the voltage and is overheating, resulting in molten spools, you might be interested in this solution to salvage the drier.
This aims to reduce the heat transfer from the drier stem to the spool with air gaps. In my case, the stem was reaching over 90ºC which would melt the spools in a few minutes. With the shim the temperature drops by 20-25ºC.
It will support spool with 63mm inner diameter or bigger.
You will need 40-50g of ABS or other heat resistant filament and 1 meter of PTFE tubing (I used 4mm OD x 2mm ID).
Cut the PTFE tubing to 16 lengths of 54mm and place them on the shim. Then slide the shim in the drier stem. The shim is conical, make sure you slide the bigger diameter side first.
