Sobre este modelo
A pharaoh-worthy lidded jar inspired by the canopic jars and lapis-and-gold treasures of ancient Egypt. The tall shouldered body carries four raised bands: a row of dentils at the foot, a tall colonnade of papyrus stems and lotus buds, a ring of Eyes of Horus (the wedjat, symbol of protection) and a fine papyrus frieze under the rim, all separated by half-round beads. It sits on a stepped gold foot and is closed by a stepped pyramid lid with a gold spire.
Three parts:
- Jar body (118 x 185 mm): closed bottom, 1.6 mm wall plus up to 1.7 mm raised relief, holds about 1.3 litres
- Stepped foot (117 x 40 mm): three-step platform with a twist-lock socket
- Pyramid lid (108 x 74 mm): five setbacks, a dentil skirt and a spire blended into the top in one piece - no visible joint. The lid sits in a V-groove on the rim
Twist-lock bayonet: 3 lugs under the jar drop into the foot and lock with a 22 degree twist.
Print the body in deep blue and the foot and lid in gold silk for the lapis-and-gold look, or use sandstone PLA for an excavated-artefact feel. A great keepsake or memorial urn, jewellery jar, gift box for history fans or a statement piece for a bookshelf. Everything prints without supports - the profile and relief stay under 45 degrees and the edges are smoothed.
