Decorative drawer/cupboard knobs with a captive M5 nut, designed for campers, vans, caravans or anywhere else that needs a bit more character. This download includes three designs:

The M5 nut is captured inside the print, giving the knob a strong metal thread rather than relying on a printed thread.
Printing instructions (Tested using PETG. Other materials may result in slight dimensional differences) Designed for FDM printing. Recommended settings: 0.4 mm nozzle 0.2 mm layer height 15% infill 1 × M5 nut required per knob No support needed
Important: Add a pause in your slicer immediately before the nut cavity is covered. Insert the M5 nut into the recess, make sure it is fully seated, then resume the print. The nut will then be permanently captured inside the finished knob.
Check that the nut is sitting completely below the current print surface before resuming to avoid the nozzle hitting it.
