Sobre este modelo
A deck box for one deck of standard trading cards, with its own pockets for dice and tokens. Fits standard 63 × 88 mm trading cards in sleeves, double sleeves too. The lid slides in dovetail rails and clicks shut, with no magnets, no glue and no hinges.
What goes inside
- Cards: the card space is 69 × 94.6 mm, so oversized outer sleeves up to 67 × 92.5 mm still fit.
- 100-card box: stack space 78 mm (100 double-sleeved cards at 0.75 mm each = 75 mm, plus 3 mm spare).
- 60-card box: stack space 48 mm.
- Very thick double sleeves (0.8 mm per card): set card_t = 0.8 in the .scad file. The 100-card box gets 5 mm longer.
- Dice: one d20 up to 21 mm and two 16 mm d6, each in its own pocket. For a bigger d20, set d20 in the .scad file.
- The dice stand 5 mm above the pocket rims, so you can pick them up.
- The closed lid sits 1 mm above the dice, so they cannot jump out of their pockets or rattle around.
- Tokens: a 22 × 35 × 23 mm well, for example 10 round tokens up to 21 mm across.
How the lid works
- The lid slides in 45° dovetail rails along both side walls. It cannot lift off or wobble sideways.
- A spring tab is cut into the lid. It clicks over a small ridge on the front wall.
- The lid stays shut in a bag: about 10 N is needed to slide it open (up to 17 N when you press hard on it).
- To open, press your thumb into the dimple and push the lid forward.
- Slide the lid about 40 mm to reach the dice and tokens. Slide it further to reach the deck.
- Take the lid off to remove the whole deck.
- No magnets, no glue, no hinges.
- The finger notch in the front wall lets you pull out single cards from the front of the deck.
- To take out the whole deck: take the lid off, take the dice out first, then tip the box so the deck slides out.
Sizes (closed)
- 100 cards: 77 × 124 × 100 mm (99.8).
- 60 cards: 77 × 94 × 100 mm.
Parametric .scad file (OpenSCAD Customizer):
- number of cards and thickness per card (0.75 for double sleeves, 0.6 for single sleeves);
- d20 and d6 size;
- lid clearance;
- lid text (default "DECK", engraved 0.6 mm).
