Sobre este modelo

This is a recreation of a popular Curse of Strahd Sunsword model as a solid/STEP instead of a Mesh file, featuring a collapsible blade.

Thank you to Skeggox Workshop for this model that was used as a reference in the creation of this model. Many other functional and ergonomic improvements were made in the recreation of this model. And thank you to the other creators behind the models remixed in the model created by Skeggox Workshop.

I have included both the STEP and STL files for each part. It seems my slicer (bambu studio) mutilates this model with complex curves when converting the STEP files to a mesh for slicing, so I would recommend using the STL files or the included 3mf when possible. The blade piece however is not available as a STEP file.

Please feel free to modify or improve this model in Onshape or with the included STEP files. And please feel free to give feedback.

This Model is designed to fit a 50 mm acrylic gem like this one on amazon, If you desire to use a different gem size, the model can be modified to fit it in onshape by modifying the variable "jewel_diameter". It may or may not regenerate properly in the process however.

There is also a cavity to insert 3 x 10 mm diameter magnets inside the top piece of the sword so the sword cap will magnetically attach to the top. The included 3MF file is set to pause at the correct layer to insert the magnets for both the cap and top piece of the sword.

As for the rest of the assembly, see the pictures for this model page, and use some glue to attach the top, shaft, and bottom pieces together. Don't forget to insert the blade up the bottom of the top piece before attaching the shaft!

I used Gold and Silver PLA silk from ERYONE to print this sword
