The "Purge Has To Go Somewhere" Creality Hi Poop Bucket 🎯
Every print starts by throwing a little filament away. On the Hi that purge lands in one particular spot, and left to itself it ends up on the bench, under the machine, and eventually in the carpet. I wanted a bin that stands exactly where the mess falls and lifts straight back out when it is full. So I designed this.
🟩 𝗪𝗛𝗔𝗧 𝗠𝗔𝗞𝗘𝗦 𝗜𝗧 𝗪𝗢𝗥𝗞
▸ 𝗦𝗵𝗮𝗽𝗲𝗱 𝗙𝗼𝗿 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗛𝗶 — The back wall carries a stepped cutout that stands clear of the Z column, so the bin sits in the one place it needs to be instead of alongside it.
▸ 𝗢𝗻𝗲 𝗣𝗶𝗲𝗰𝗲, 𝗡𝗼 𝗛𝗮𝗿𝗱𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗲 — No screws, no magnets, no glue, no second part. The internal wall and the rear cutout are molded into the same single shell. It comes off the plate finished.
▸ 𝗔 𝗠𝗼𝗹𝗱𝗲𝗱 𝗚𝗿𝗮𝗯 𝗦𝗰𝗼𝗼𝗽 — The front wall dips into a handhold. Hook a hand into it, lift the bin clear and tip it out. One movement, nothing to dismantle.
▸ 𝗡𝗼𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗖𝗹𝗮𝗺𝗽𝘀 𝗢𝗻 — There are no fixings and no adhesive anywhere. It locates by sitting in the right place, which is exactly what lets it lift straight out again.
▸ 𝟮𝟮𝟱 𝘅 𝟭𝟯𝟱 𝗺𝗺 𝗢𝗻 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗕𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗵 — And 115 mm tall. The footprint is the bin itself, not a mount, so there is nothing to align and nothing to fit.
🟩 𝗣𝗥𝗜𝗡𝗧 𝗦𝗘𝗧𝗧𝗜𝗡𝗚𝗦
One plate, one part, already set up in the project:
0.12 mm layer height · 5 walls · 5 top and 3 bottom shells · 9% gyroid · 5 mm auto brim · tree supports enabled
It prints open side up, sitting on its own flat base — the same way it stands on the bench.
PLA · 220 °C nozzle · 60 °C Epoxy Resin Plate · sliced on a Creality Hi with a 0.4 mm nozzle
The time and weight below are what this exact profile slices to, with the supports and the brim on. Turn either off, or take the layer height up, and both figures change. 0.12 mm is finer than a bin really needs, so if you would rather have it sooner than smoother, re-slice and read your own numbers.
🟩 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗡𝗨𝗠𝗕𝗘𝗥𝗦
▸ Footprint: 225 x 135 mm
▸ Height: 115 mm
▸ Print: 7 h 29 m and 243.94 g
▸ Filament: 81.79 m
Designed for the machine it sits next to, and printed on it. Happy printing! 🎯
