Sobre este modelo
A practical workshop tool designed to make furniture assembly easier and more accurate. This 3D-printed corner jig is designed for 18 mm laminated chipboard and helps position and hold panels at a precise right angle during cabinet assembly, gluing and screw fastening. It is particularly useful for DIY furniture makers, cabinet builders and anyone who regularly works with laminated boards. Whether you are assembling a cabinet carcass, building shelves or joining panels, this jig helps keep the boards aligned while you work. Features - Designed for nominal 18 mm laminated chipboard
- Helps maintain a 90° corner during assembly
- Suitable for both butt joints and mitre joints
- Helps position and hold panels during gluing and screw fastening
- Useful for cabinet carcasses, shelves and general furniture assembly
- Reusable workshop tool
- Simple and practical design for everyday woodworking
Recommended number of pieces I recommend printing at least 2 pieces. Using two jigs positioned apart along the joint provides better alignment and helps prevent the panels from twisting or moving out of square during assembly. For larger panels or longer joints, additional jigs can be used as needed. Recommended print settings - Layer height: 0.20 mm
- Perimeters / walls: 4
- Infill: 20%
- Material: PETG recommended; PLA can also be suitable depending on the intended use
- Top and bottom layers: 5 recommended
Four perimeters and 20% infill have been sufficient in my own use of this model. Check the slicer preview for your chosen print orientation and add supports only if necessary. Compatibility and usage notes The jig is designed for boards with a nominal thickness of 18 mm. Actual board thickness, edge-banding and manufacturing tolerances may affect the fit. For best results, check that the boards seat correctly in the jig before starting the assembly. When working with long panels, use two or more jigs to maintain alignment along the joint. The jig helps position and hold the panels, but additional clamps may still be needed when a strong or continuous clamping force is required for gluing. Files included - STL: Model geometry for use with your preferred slicer.
- 3MF: Model file in 3MF format.
Designed for practical use in the workshop and tested during real furniture assembly.
