Sobre este modelo
DESCRIPTION I'm feeding filament straight from a dryer. It leaves the spool recess on the right side of the CORE One empty. This wall turns that space into a magnetic tool board. It fits around the original spool holder and attaches to the printer's steel side with magnets, and the same magnets hold your tools on the front: pliers, hex keys, nozzle tools and anything else steel. I was too lazy to search for one, so I made one.
The magnets sit in pockets on the back, behind a thin 0.4 mm skin, so the front stays clean and the magnets are invisible. There are 39 pockets in a regular 35 mm grid, and you only fill the ones you need.
I printed it in PLA and it works very nicely.
FEATURES
- Size 239.5 x 255.25 x 2.4 mm, made to fit the CORE One spool recess
- Opening for the original spool holder, so nothing has to be removed
- 39 press-fit pockets for round 10x2 mm magnets with crush ribs, no glue needed
- Magnets sit flush with the back and touch the printer's steel directly for maximum hold
- Two halves joined with dovetails, each half fits on the print bed
MAGNETS
- Round neodymium magnets 10x2 mm (10 mm diameter, 2 mm thick), as many as you want to use
PRINT SETTINGS
- PLA, 0.2 mm layers
- Print front face down, as provided, no supports
TIP: MAGNET PLACEMENT
Use magnets on opposite sides of each half, at least one near the left edge and one near the right edge, ideally a few spread over the whole piece. That way each half sits flat against the printer and can't tilt away when you pull a tool off. Add extra magnets wherever you want to hang heavier tools.
