Sobre este modelo

Are you tired of your ColorMix prints looking like the result of a love affair between a zebra and a bar code? Try ColorBreak! This sheep has been painted with small patches of different ColorMix extruder ratios in order to break up the ColorMix stripes on the print's surface, but in a way that preserves the overall original ratio of the filaments. Three versions are provided: - two colours with ratio 85% : 15% (pictured in Prusament PLA Vanilla White and rPLA Wine),

- two colours with ratio 50% : 50% (pictured in Prusament PLA Vanilla White and Galaxy Black),

- three colours with ratio 75% : 5% : 20% (pictured in Prusament PLA Vanilla White, Galaxy Black and Sakura Pink).

For each you can find the plain ColorMix model in sheep_before_[ratio].3mf and the ColorBreak version in sheep_broken_[ratio].3mf. I used generated organic supports and outer brim.

You wish you could do the same thing to your own ColorMix models? Wish no more! The tool I developed to remix these sheep is freely available on GitHub: ColorBreak for ColorMix (I made it for .3mf projects from PrusaSlicer 3.0.0 Alpha, I'm not sure about compatibility with other versions) ColorBreak works especially well for imbalanced ratios - you can see in the pictures that the 75% : 5% : 20% and 85% : 15% look much "nicer" (subjective) than their plain ColorMix counterpart, while in the 50% : 50% ColorBreak doesn't add much to the textured furry body, only to the smooth underside. Note: The goal of ColorBreak is not to "do ColorMix better" - the main aim of ColorMix is to create a texture which from afar blends for the human eye into the combined colour, which works better with plain ColorMix than with ColorBreak. The goal of ColorBreak is instead to use the ColorMix feature to create an interesting texture on the print.
