Sobre este modelo

Long nails and an ATM are a bad combination. The card comes half out, and the one grip that would get it the rest of the way - pinching a thin edge between two fingertips - is the one grip long or acrylic nails make impossible. Your nails meet before your fingers do.

This is a small coffin you keep on your keys. Push its foot onto the card and pull. The jaw does not pinch, it wedges: the harder you pull, the harder it grips, because the two gripping faces close on the card at a shallow angle and a shallow angle cannot let go. Nothing springs, nothing clips, nothing hinges.

ONE PIECE. No clip glued to a slab, because there is no clip and there is no glue. The jaw is a slot cut into a solid nose and the keyring is a cross cut through a solid head - there is no part sticking out for a bag to catch, which is where these things tend to break.

IT SWALLOWS THE CARD FOR YOU. The mouth opens to 5.2 mm for a 0.76 mm card, nearly seven times the target, so you do not have to aim a slot at an edge at arm's length in front of a machine.

IT FITS ANY CARD. A bank card is 0.76 mm thick, give or take 0.08. Because the jaw is tapered rather than a fixed gap, a thin card simply slides a little deeper before it bites and a thick one stops a little sooner. Bank cards, hotel keys, transit passes, gym cards, ID.

Prints flat, no supports, about twenty-five minutes.

WHICH OF THE THREE FILES TO PRINT

There is a narrow slot down the middle of the coffin. It is exactly 0.80 mm wide. Print STANDARD first and push a card edge into that slot from above: - The card will not go in - your printer lays down a little more plastic than it thinks. Print FIRM. - The card slides in with a light drag and stays put - print STANDARD. - The card rattles or falls out - your printer is running a little thin. Print EASY.

FIRM also holds a slicker, glossier card than EASY does; EASY comes off the card with the least effort. They are the same design and the same size - one dimension inside the jaw changes.

PRINT SETTINGS - Layer height: 0.20 mm - Walls / perimeters: 4. Add perimeters, not infill. Everything this part does is a bending load carried at the outside of a section, so a wall is worth several times its own volume of infill. - Infill: 15% - Supports: none. There is no overhang anywhere on the part; every wall is plumb and every step on the lid faces upward. - Orientation: flat on the bed, exactly as the file is oriented. Do not stand it up - a printed part is much weaker across its layers than along them, and laid flat the layers run the right way. - Material: PLA or PETG - Brim / raft: not needed

Size: 70 x 28 x 8 mm. Shorter than the card it pulls.

TWO HONEST NOTES - It is not a clip. It grips when you pull and lets go when you push the card back out of the mouth. It will not hang on a card by itself. - It needs about 5 mm of card showing. That is normal for a machine slot. A card sitting flush inside a tight wallet pocket is a different problem and this will not solve it.
