Carousel Advent Calendar A classic Christmas carousel that doubles as an advent calendar: 24 wedge-shaped drawers on two tiers, a striped tent roof, twisted poles with six snap-on Christmas figures – and the whole carousel turns on its base. As always: no supports. Every part is already oriented, and the 3MF has all 10 plates ready to print. Highlights

- 24 drawers with the numbers inlaid in a second colour. The colour change only happens in the first 3 layers.

- It turns: the carousel rotates on its base plate, so you can spin it to today's drawer.

- Self-aligning tiers: a hex key between the tiers drops into place, so the compartments always line up. No glue, no screws.

- 6 snap-on figures: reindeer, star, tree, snowflake, bell and gingerbread man clip onto the poles and slide up and down.

- Support-free roof: a hollow shell printed upright. The red panels slide into pockets, the ball pushes onto a pin.

- Fits 256 × 256 mm beds (largest part 248 × 248 mm).

- Overall: 248 mm wide, about 34 cm tall

- Drawers 1–12 (bottom), inside: front about 57 × 53 mm, 96 mm deep

- Drawers 13–24 (top), inside: front about 45 × 48 mm, 72 mm deep

- The drawers are wedge-shaped and get narrower towards the back. Fun-size candy bags and small chocolates fit.

- 0.2 mm layers, 15 % infill, textured PEI plate, no supports

- Only the two drawer plates use two colours (for the numbers). Every other plate is single-colour.

Print the drawers in one colour and change filament at 0.6 mm (layer 4) for the numbers. The first layer must be 0.2 mm. You can also print them single-colour: the numbers are recessed into the front. Assembly

- Put the base plate on the table (felt pads underneath if you like).

- Set the lower tier over the axle. It rests on a slide ring and turns.

- Put the upper tier on top and turn it until the hex socket drops 5 mm onto the key. Now the compartments line up.

- Add the top deck the same way.

- Slide the column over the hex boss in the middle and put the six poles onto their pins.

- Push the six panels into the roof, set the roof onto the column and poles, then push the ball onto the tip.

- Clip the figures onto the poles and slide in the drawers: 1–12 below, 13–24 on top, in any order within a tier.

Tip: a little candle wax or silicone spray on the slide ring makes it spin smoothly. A drop of glue keeps the roof panels and the ball in place for good.
