This cable knit style basket vase recreates the cozy look of a chunky knitted sweater, complete with twisted cable patterns, ribbed columns and braided top and bottom rims. It works as a decorative sleeve around a glass jar or as a standalone basket for dried flowers, cotton stems, pussy willow branches, pens or small household items. A great fit for farmhouse, Scandinavian and hygge-style interiors, and a thoughtful handmade-looking gift for housewarmings or seasonal decor.
Designed with FDM printing in mind, the cylindrical shape prints upright with the open top facing up. The deep knit texture looks best with matte PLA in neutral tones like cream, beige or grey, and a finer layer height will help bring out the stitch detail. If you plan to hold water, use a glass insert as shown rather than relying on the printed part to be watertight.
