Sobre este modelo
A medieval brass mace head based on a 12th-century Byzantine find. Maces of this kind could have been used in Byzantium, Rus’, and Scandinavia. However, maces of similar shape and size were widespread throughout Europe and the Middle East since the times of the Roman Empire, if not earlier. The model closely follows the original in shape and size. These mace heads really were surprisingly small! Historical brass or bronze heads were filled with lead, giving them sufficient weight to be effective against an unarmoured opponent. The spikes on the originals were not particularly sharp either. The main difference is a slightly thinner handle (not included in the kit :-). Dimensions: Mace head height: ~ 64 mm Handle diameter: 20 mm Handle length:~ 500 mm
