I designed this gender reveal ball for our second child!
The ball consists of two hemispheres joined by a perforated ring, which is designed to break on impact and release the coloured powder. A tennis racket or baseball bat works best for striking the ball.
You can easily make your own coloured powder using cornstarch and food colouring.
Fill the ball approximately halfway with powder. For a bigger explosion, you can also add a layer of tissue paper before adding the powder.
