Aztec Sun Stone Lantern - Lithophane LED Lamp with Step-Fret Bands, Pyramid Crown and Temple Base

A table lantern inspired by the great Aztec calendar stone and the stepped temples of Mesoamerica. The shade carries two rings of sun stone roundels - concentric glyph rings around a central face - separated by a band of stepped diamond tapestry motifs, with the classic xicalcoliuhqui step-fret wave at the foot. The crown is a stepped pyramid with a spire and a woven-diamond skirt, and the base is a three-tier temple platform.

By day it reads like carved limestone. When the LED is on, every glyph is cut thinner into the wall and glows warm amber, like a lithophane.

Three parts, no glue:

- Shade (111 x 196 mm): slightly tapered drum, 0.8 mm wall at the motifs and up to 2.8 mm at the frame

- Temple base (137 x 48 mm): three-step platform with 8 lancet windows, a ring for an LED tea light or LED puck and a cable channel

- Pyramid crown (110 x 78 mm): five setbacks, a diamond-pattern skirt and a spire blended into the roof in one piece - no visible joint

Twist-lock bayonet: 3 lugs on the shade drop into the base and lock with a 22 degree twist. The crown sits in a V-groove on the shade rim.

Everything prints without supports - the relief is limited to 45 degrees, the windows are 45 degree lancet arches and every setback faces up. Relief edges are smoothed.
