Sobre este modelo
After setting out to build my own version of the 1980s Hartmut Esslinger frog design MacBook concept, I've finally finished the second model, the BookMac (MacBook) Mini Concept. These are the model files for the enclosure only. This recreation is designed around a Raspberry Pi 5 with a PiPower 5 UPS/BMS, paired with two 10,000 mAh LiPo packs. It uses an iPad 9.7" display, a touchscreen panel, a display controller and speakers, and several custom PCBs for the keyboard, keyboard controller, ADB, and rear ports. There are several custom Pi-side apps for boot, border, and cropping display handling, touchscreen calibration, brightness control, power handling, and a BasiliskII/SheepShaver launcher that handles touch correction for a better touch experience with classic Mac OS. Build and software details can be found here: https://github.com/spc6486/bookmac The enclosure and PCBs were modeled in Fusion 360, printed in ASA, and sanded, primed, and painted with Snow White-era Platinum color-matched paint (RAL 7044). Waterslide decals were applied, and a 2K satin automotive clear coat was used for added durability. This is a work in progress, and more details and updates may come in the future as I have time.
