AMS 2 Slip Clutch — modelo 3D

AMS 2 Slip Clutch

por Opium en Thingiverse

THIS PART IS BEING TESTED! Use at your own risk! I mean.. whats the worse that can happen... but still... The one STL file has two parts: split to objects and print the centre in TPU. Recommend 1 wall, grid (yes, grid), 15% infill I tried printing 100% and the TPU doesn't actually slip as easily as.

THIS PART IS BEING TESTED! Use at your own risk! I mean.. whats the worse that can happen... but still... The one STL file has two parts: split to objects and print the centre in TPU. Recommend 1 wall, grid (yes, grid), 15% infill I tried printing 100% and the TPU doesn't actually slip as easily as i wanted: this is the thing you're trying to get: as lose as possible while still being able to rewind. This gear replaces the gear on each spool roller in the AMS2 and is to address the issue of the gear locking up when the feeder reverse gear fails to retrack. This causes the spool to lock and the hub to grind filament... it is NOT a problem of needing more weight in the spool, however you will find that the spool jumps when the filament is low for two reasons: the main one being the "gear reduction": if all the spool can do is slip on the locked roller, mechanically it is far more difficult to pull filament from a small centre than pulling from a full spool: similar to turning a bike wheel: very difficult the closer to the centre of the wheel you get. And the second reason: sure it is lighter so more likely to ride up? But I feel that's kinda irrelevant
