Advent Wreath for 4 LED Candles - Layered Leaves, Berries and Numbers, No Supports

An Advent wreath that you print once and use every year. The evergreen ring is built from four layers of leaves, with red berry clusters and the numbers 1 to 4 next to the candles. The four gold candle cups sit on pegs, so they stay put, and they come off for cleaning. It is made for LED candles only.

Two versions in one download. One wreath for LED tea lights (38 mm across) and one for LED pillar candles (50 mm across), each with its own set of 4 cups. The wreath is 215.4 mm across and 15.5 mm high, so it fits a 250 mm bed.

Why it prints well. There are no supports at all. Each layer of leaves sits inside the layer below it, so nothing overhangs, and the four layers turned against each other give real depth. The cups are closed at the bottom with a 1.2 mm floor, so the candle stands flat, and they drop onto 9 mm pegs with a 0.25 mm gap per side.

Two colours without an AMS. The leaves are green. Change the filament to red at a height of 12.6 mm and the berries and the numbers print red: one filament change, no multi-colour printer needed. Or print the whole wreath in one colour. Print the cups in gold (silk gold looks great), or three in purple and one in pink to follow the Advent tradition.

- advent_wreath_led.scad: the parametric source. You can change the wreath diameter (the real wreath is about 15 mm smaller than the number you enter), the candle size and the numbers on or off.

SIZE: wreath 215.4 × 214.4 × 15.5 mm; the cups stand on pads at a circle of 94.3 mm radius. With the cups in place the highest point is 24.7 mm (tea light version) or 28.7 mm (pillar version) above the table.

PRINT SETTINGS: PLA, 0.20 mm layers, 3 walls, 15 % infill, no supports. The wreath lies flat and takes almost the whole 250 mm plate, so clean the bed first. Filament change to red at Z = 12.6 mm. The cups stand upright, 4 on one plate.

ASSEMBLY: Drop a cup onto each of the four pegs, then put the LED candle in the cup. A candle of 38 mm (tea light) or 50 mm (pillar) has 0.75 mm of room per side.

SAFETY: LED candles only. Never use real flames with a plastic wreath or cups.

Honest notes:

- The images are 3D renders made from the same files you print. The candles and flames in the pictures are only for illustration and are not in the files. This wreath has not been test-printed yet.

- What we checked numerically on the exported STL files: every file is a closed single solid; the four cups sit on their pads and clear the pegs (no overlap); a candle of the right size fits each cup with a 0.75 mm gap per side; no overhang that needs support, apart from the underside of the small berries (about 6 mm² each) and a 9.3 mm bridge over the peg socket in each cup.

- The design is original: no licensed characters, no brands.
