Adam Mickiewicz Bust | Poet Sculpture | STL

Hey everyone! Here’s my take on a bust of Adam Mickiewicz. I stumbled across the original sculpture totally by accident at a flea market and just had to scan it.

Raw scans are never perfect, so I cleaned up the mesh and fixed the messy polygons. It’s ready for rendering, printing, or dropping into your scene.

About the guy: Adam Mickiewicz (1798–1855) is one of the most important poets in Central and Eastern Europe. He was born in the lands of today’s Belarus and studied in Vilnius, so he’s a major cultural figure for Belarus and Lithuania, as well as Poland’s national poet. He is known chiefly for the poetic drama "Dziady" (Forefathers' Eve). His epic poem "Pan Tadeusz" is a cornerstone of Polish literature, while his works about his homeland helped shape the national identity and literary heritage of all three countries. His other influential works include "Konrad Wallenrod" and "Grażyna".
