A Tattoo Gun — modelo 3D

A Tattoo Gun

por definitely_not en Thangs

For whatever reason, when I started messing around with more mechanical 3D modeling, I decided to make a tattoo gun that I could 3D print and just insert a motor, battery pack, spring, and an on/off switch (which I neglected to make a spot for, yet).

Sobre este modelo

For whatever reason, when I started messing around with more mechanical 3D modeling, I decided to make a tattoo gun that I could 3D print and just insert a motor, battery pack, spring, and an on/off switch (which I neglected to make a spot for, yet).

Every piece _should_ be printable without support on an FDM printer, but I haven't been able to test it as my printer is broken, so if you try it please let me know!

This is like, the 15th version of this that I've made. I started with gears, for some reason, but basically disregarded any existing info on how tattoo guns work and just kinda tried stuff from what I knew. There was a version with two gears spinning opposite directions while facing each other with a pin on the back of each so they could both drive the piston simultaneously. * _timbers begin to shiver_ *

This version uses a CAM to push the piston forward, then a spring to push it back toward the motor. The needle is (ideally) held in by a 3 point compression grip with a threaded nozzle to tighten the needle in. I tried to use some fancy wording, but its basically 3 little fingers that squeeze the needle when you screw the nozzle on.

Hope you have fun with it, and I am not responsible for any permanent marks you leave on yourself or others. I have also not printed and tested it, and welcome feedback!
