Sobre este modelo

Toot toot! This easily printable whistle replicates the sound of an engine chugging down the tracks. Designed for FDM. This model attempts to replicate the sound of the classic 5-chime train whistle - the stereotypical sound of steam locomotives in the American consciousness. The sound could evoke the Old West or two lovers parting on a station platform. Designed with a handle for ease of use, the model is built to be used by hand - for foley work, theatrical productions, or your own home model train layout alike. I attempted to make the model as robust and easily printable as possible - built for my own FDM printer, a Creality K1SE. Simply print the three parts, then use some cyanoacrylate glue to attach the chimes on the front and the mountpiece on the rear. The chimes are keyed to ensure they line up correctly with the base. It is based on a resin 5-chime train whistle toy I bought at an Amtrak exhibit long ago. I've never found another for sale anywhere - so I have treated the original like a sainted artifact. Now I can print multiples and use them without worrying too much. It has allowed me to move this cool little object from "thing I treasure" to "thing I can actually use."
